Our Lady of the Rosary, Queen of Peace

Dear Family of Mary!

"Dear children, do not tire of prayer. Pray for peace, peace, peace." (June 25, 2002, Ivanka)

Not only do we receive peace in our own hearts through prayer, but it seems that Our Mother has come to ask us to make peace our life's work. She asks us to be her children of peace, those who bring peace into the world, through our prayer and conversion. Peace is our gift from God but also our job. She has said:

"Dear children! I call you to peace. Live it in your heart and all around you, so that all will know peace, peace that does not come from you but from God. Little children, today is a great day. Rejoice with me. Glorify the Nativity of Jesus through the peace that I give you. It is for this peace that I have come as your Mother, Queen of Peace. Today I give you my special blessing. Bring it to all creation, so that all creation will know peace. Thank you for having responded to my call." (December 25, 1988)

Our Lady asked us in this message to live peace. She asked us to see peace as our call. It is the reason she has come to Medjugorje. As the Queen of Peace, Our Lady has come to give us peace. And so we who have experienced her love are now given the job of being peace and giving peace to others. It is our job!

Our Lady has also said:

"Dear children! I call you, little children, to pray without ceasing. If you pray, you are closer to God and He will lead you on the way of peace and salvation. That is why I call you today to give peace to others. Only in God is there true peace. Open your hearts and become those who give a gift of peace and others will discover peace in you and through you and in this way you will witness God's peace and love which He gives you. Thank you for having responded to my call." (January 25, 2000)

As we grow in God, we become sources of peace for others. Our Lady longs for this to happen. She asks us to pray for peace and then receive peace into the depths of our hearts. From our hearts then we will be able to give peace to others. This is her peace plan for the world.

I am repeating the message I used yesterday, the message of January 25, 1991.

"Dear children! Today, like never before, I invite you to prayer. Let your prayer be a prayer for peace. Satan is strong and desires to destroy not only human life, but also nature and the planet on which you live. Therefore, dear children, pray that through prayer you can protect yourselves with God's blessing of peace. God has sent me among you so that I may help you. If you so wish, grasp for the rosary. Even the rosary alone can work miracles in the world and in your lives. I bless you and I remain with you for as long as it is God's will. Thank you for not betraying my presence here and I thank you because your response is serving the good and the peace." (January 25, 1991)

This message gives us the context in which to understand our job of peace. She needs us to be her army of peace, those who, with her, stand against the evil one and his plans for destruction. Living peace is the way to fight the enemy and declare the Kingdom of God.

I received a wonderful confirmation of this call to peace and prayer from my friend, Shirley. She wrote me yesterday:

Hi Cathy~~I imagine that you receive many emails re: the messages & meditations you send each day--sorry to add one more! [Not true, I love to hear from you!]  While the one below [February 15, 2012] from today speaks of 'peace', Our Lady speaking of the 'Rosary' spoke loudly to me this day.

If I may, Cathy~~I had a dream last night--While driving a bus with many people, I came to a stop and we all got out to look to the heavens. There, covering all of the earth and sky, was Our Lady, sitting on a throne--our Queen of Heaven & Earth. In Her right hand was a scepter and from the very large scepter, was a very large Rosary. No words seemed to be needed, just for us to understand the power of the Rosary. I awakened quite refreshed & very happy.

I think Shirley's dream describes well the reality of the January 25, 1991 message. Our Lady is Queen of Heaven and Earth, and she has come to help us. She has been given the authority to help us, the queenly authority to empower our prayer of the Rosary. She asks us to pray the Rosary, because even the Rosary alone can work miracles. The miracles we need are miracles of peace, peace in our own hearts and in the hearts of all people. We need peace to reign now, because Satan has plans to destroy us - which will happen through our own lack of peace. But the Rosary will help us to win the battle for peace. That is our job, to fight for peace through our prayer and our unity with our Queen Mother.

This is a good job for Lent, don't you think? To pray the Rosary for peace, to yearn for peace, to give peace, to receive peace from God, to be peace. If we only live this one message from Medjugorje, we will be doing quite a lot this Lent!

"It is for this peace that I have come as your Mother, Queen of Peace."
